The MBI6502 is a high output current, high efficiency, low noise and low profile charge pump flash LED driver for multi-functional LED photo-flash applications. It is easy to apply in battery-powered applications without any inductor.

The MBI6502 maintains high current accuracy by mode switching between 1X mode (linear regulator mode) and 2X mode (charge pump mode) automatically to adapt the input voltage change and different LED forward voltages. The driver can be set at two current levels in flash and torch modes to meet different illumination requirements.

The MBI6502 has multiple features to protect the system from fault conditions, such as soft-start, OVP, SCP, TP and ATO protection. The MBI6502 is available in 10-pin 3mm×3mm DFN package.
