About Uni Light Technology Uni Light Technology was founded in June 1998 , with capitalization of NTD 792,000,000 (USD 24,000,000). Located in Taoyuan Kuishan Industrial District of Taiwan with a 6,300 square meter state-of-the-art facilities, Uni Light is a professional EPITAXIAL FOUNDRY for manufacturing high quality compound semiconductor-based epitaxial wafers and chips for opto-electronic devices by the most advanced MOVPE (Metal Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy ) and related technologies. Uni Light successfully grew high quality AlInGaP HB LED structures on gallium arsenide wafers by self-developed epitaxial growth techniques soon after its startup. High brightness light emitting diode (HB LED) is one of the most important compound semiconductor-based lighting devices, which is energy-saving to and to replace current incandescent and compact halogen lamps in the near future. Responding to the rapidly growing HB LEDs market, Uni Light is now focusing on manufacturing AlInGaP and InGaN-base epitaxial wafers and chips that cover full visible spectrum. As a professional compound semiconductor EPITAXIAL FOUNDRY, supplying high performance, and good uniformity epitaxial wafers with consistent quality has been our commitment to customers and can not be compromised. In addition to epitaxial wafers, Uni Light is also able to provide LED chip process service upon request. Due to the high demand in the market of LED, Uni Light-Dongguan branch was found it early 2004 for supply the strong demand of the whole China LED light industry. At planned to fabricate 1,000KKpcs AlInGaP-based and 100KKpcs InGaN-based LED chips to supply the strong demand of the whole China industry which mainly located at the Guandong province, Among all the products, the high-uniform and high resistance voltage in AlInGaP-chips is recognized and used as dot matrix and numeral display, On the other hand, the high-brightness Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green chips is used for the indoor and out door LED display. Compound semiconductors are known to be more efficient and effective than silicon in applications requiring generation of light and high speed transmission. Uni Light is not limited to LED application, therefore, but actively exploring new products that can fully appreciate the unique electrical and optical characteristics of compound semiconductors.
