Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Color and light blend to create a warm, exotic atmosphere inside this restaurant at the Park Hyatt Dubai. More than 220 feet (67 m) of Color Kinetics?iColor Cove?NXT was recessed into the ceiling, approximately 1 foot (30 cm) behind a Barrisol diffuser. The compact units were installed end-to-end in linear runs across the entire ceiling, and spaced apart in 3 foot (90 cm) increments.

iColor Cove NXT provides the widest beam angle (120 degrees) among Color Kinetics?popular iColor Cove line. This allows for uniform color mixing and distribution in closer proximity to the illuminated surface. In this particular installation, the diffusive properties of the Barrisol material further enhance the uniform distribution of colored light ?making the ceiling appear to glow from within.

Light System Manager was used to author and control a series of ethereal, color-changing effects. These include a chasing rainbow that completes a cycle of colors in 30 seconds, and a cross fade that displays specific colors for 30-second intervals. The effects are stored and triggered with a wall-mounted Ethernet Controller Keypad.
